What We Believe
Statement of Faith
We Believe and Accept:
1. The Bible as divinely inspired written Word of God.
2. The trinity (tri-unity) of God, whereas one God is manifest in three: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
3. The deity of Jesus Christ.
4. The true humanity of Jesus Christ; the virgin birth of Jesus; that His miracles literally took place; that Jesus Christ alone is mediator between God and people.
5. The substitutionary blood atonement of Christ.
6. The Bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
7. The universality of sin.
8. The necessity of the new birth as the means of salvation; that salvation is by the grace of God to all who have personal believing faith in Jesus Christ.
9. The maintenance of good works in the lives of believers.
10. The personality and deity of The Holy Spirit.
11. The need for believers to be filled with The Holy Spirit, thus producing personal lives that glorify God.
12. The assurance of eternal life is the present possession of each child of God.
13. The imminent bodily return of Jesus Christ.
14. The resurrection of the saved and the lost.
15. The eternal separation from God's presence of those who do not believe and accept the gospel.
16. The reality and personality of Satan; the reality of a host of unseen spirit beings in subjection and allegiance to Satan; and that believers are to resist Satan and his host.
17. The church belongs to Jesus Christ, who alone is its only rightful Head, that it is being built upon Him. The Church-universal is the body of Christ from which no believers are excluded. Local churches are companies of born again (regenerated) believers who have joined themselves together in commonly shared evangelical doctrine, beliefs, fellowship and purpose, having called out ministers (servants) to equip, instruct, preach, teach, edify, etc.
18. The Lord's commission to the churches is to share the gospel in love.
19. The local churches are to observe the ordinances of The Lord's Supper [communion]; and believer's baptism.
20. The Priesthood of all believers.
